Social Services Board Meetings are open to the Public. The meetings are held each month on the 4th Thursday.
The Social Services Office is located at 177 Court Street and their entrance is located at the back of the building. Their offices are on the second floor, an elevator will take you to their offices.
Board Meetings are held in the Courthouse Court Room
All citizens are welcome to attend.
You must call or schedule 10 days prior to the meeting date if you are interested in presenting a Briefing to the Board of Supervisors.
Citizens are always welcome to comment at the meeting during our Hear the Public section, no prior notice need be given to speak during this portion of the meeting.

Craig County Courthouse
Craig County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday March 7th, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at the Craig County Courthouse, 182 Main Street, New Castle to solicit public input on local community development and housing needs in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a project in our community.
Information on the amount of funding available, the requirements to benefit low- and moderate-income persons and/or eliminate blight, eligible activities, and plans to minimize displacement will be discussed. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on the Craig County’s past and current use of any previous CDBG grants. All interested citizens are urged to attend. Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith will have a representative to hear citizen comments every month, 10 am to 12 noon every First Tuesday of the Month in the County Administrator’s Office 2nd Floor Conference room at 108 Court Street in New Castle. The public is encouraged to come by. No appointment is necessary.
