Social Services Board Meetings are open to the Public. The meetings are held each month on the 4th Thursday.
The Social Services Office is located at 177 Court Street and their entrance is located at the back of the building. Their offices are on the second floor, an elevator will take you to their offices.
on Use of CDBG Funding in Craig County
Craig County will solicit public input on local community development and housing needs in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a project in our community. The amount of funding available, the requirements to benefit low- and moderate-income individuals and/or eliminate blight, and eligible activities to meet the County’s community development needs will be discussed.
Citizens will have an opportunity to comment on the County of Craig’s past and current use of any previous CDBG grants and provide input related to specific community development needs and the future direction of Craig County.
All residents interested in the County’s community development priorities are encouraged to attend.

All citizens are welcome to attend.
You must call or schedule 10 days prior to the meeting date if you are interested in presenting a Briefing to the Board of Supervisors.
Citizens are always welcome to comment at the meeting during our Hear the Public section, no prior notice need be given to speak during this portion of the meeting.
Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith will have a representative to hear citizen comments every month, 10 am to 12 noon every First Tuesday of the Month in the County Administrator’s Office 2nd Floor Conference room at 108 Court Street in New Castle. The public is encouraged to come by. No appointment is necessary.
