VDOT will start work on the Caldwell Mountain culvert replacement beginning April 1st, 2020.
The project is located 1100 feet east of the intersection of Rte. 612 and 606 and
will require the roadway be closed until the work is completed.
We anticipated this work to take 3 to 4 weeks, depending on the weather or any unforeseen issues that arise.
Due to the announcement on March 17, 2020, Governor Northam, jointly with the Virginia State Health Commissioner, declaring a continuing public health emergency in Virginia resulting from the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and imposed stringent measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, including restricting the number of persons permitted to gather in certain public spaces to 10 persons or less
All citizens are welcome to attend.
You must call or schedule 10 days prior to the meeting date if you are interested in presenting a Briefing to the Board of Supervisors.
Citizens are always welcome to comment at the meeting during our Hear the Public section, no prior notice need be given to speak during this portion of the meeting.
Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith will have a representative to hear citizen comments every month, 9 am to 10:30 am every Second Tuesday of the Month in the County Administrator’s Office 2nd Floor Conference room at 108 Court Street in New Castle. The public is encouraged to come by. No appointment is necessary.
